Steve Wins Awards
11th March 2008
I’m a member of Batley & District Camera Club (BDCC) and find it invaluable to be able to discuss all things photographic with the other members and guest speakers.
I have a very competitive streak whether it’s ten pin bowling, go-carting or making sure I’m in the right place at the right time to capture an image. Needless to say that I’m a regular entrant for BDCC’s competitions.
BDCC’s 2008 annual photography competition was judged by Stuart Clark ABIPP, ARPS on March 11th 2008. There were over 150 prints entered in the competition across four categories: Portraits; Record; Natural History and Pictorial. The largest number or entries was in the pictorial section with 75 prints entered. I entered three out of the four categories and managed to scoop an award in each category, three in the portrait sections (printed and projected).
The prints will be on exhibition in Baltley Library from 2pm on April 12th.
